The world has changed, let's not build software with coding agents like we've built in the last 30 years. We need a new approach, that leverages the advantages that this wondrous new technology brings. Here are 3 principles to help us move software forward:

1. Use no or very few dependencies - 48% of data breaches are seen to come from the software supply chain. Cut out the legacy tech debt, code it new, with much better structures, standards & tests.
2. Use AI to greatly reduce & eliminate enterprise complexity, which is also found to be a major security risk for attacks leveraging leaky integration & complexity. Have code be direct, targeted, tested & without ambiguity to its purpose and structure.
3. Improve responsiveness, efficiency & user experience. Currently most apps have their own bespoke design language, layout ideas, etc.. Cut it! Use the best of Apple, Google & other design leaders in the industry - align to those structures, and use that language for all apps, and stop with the fancy and supposedly innovative user experience. It is a pure waste of energy, users want apps that work, feel and work like the best of the industry leaders, so let agents just use that language. No more design or UX debates. I could imagine that new, spec-driven design languages will come that help us align and simplify this further. Also in the future maybe more services will be headless through agents, so this prepares us for that future as well.

In conclusion, let's leverage this amazing agentic moment to simplify, secure & dramatically improve the structure and quality of all software. My feeling is that the code quality, architecture & user features can be improved proportionally to the reduction in libraries and code quantity, and that would be a win-win for everyone, and most of all USERS.
